     PARASITOIDS AND THEIR IMPORTANCE IN AGRICULTURE

parasitoids are those organisms that spends their maximum portion of life history within or attached to the host, sometimes they can kill the living host and consumes. Insect parasitoids have great importance in the field of agriculture because they can reduce the population of  insect pest population which can cause damage to our valueable agricultural crops.








The most popular insect parasitoids  belongs to the insect order Hymonoptera , these are not only the social insects which have the key role in pollination but they also act in the field against the major and minor pests of agricultural cops as a parasites by feeding their eggs and parasitizing their larvae and adults.
Todays most hottest issues of agriculture  are pesticide residues and bioaccumulation of toxic chemicals due to the overdosage and the inappropriate use of pesticides. use of parasitoids to kill the pests is the best option to protect our environment , biodiversity and our valuable food and cash crops.
